Mr. Oglethorpe being arrived the 14th inst. at Georgia he
acquainted the Saltzburghers who were come with Capt Fry in
the ship Purrysburg, that they would have liberty to choose
such part of the country as they thought most convenient for
them to build a town. . . [17 lines, go out westward about
15 miles, find a site:] The Saltzburghers were extreamly
pleased with the place, kneeled down by the River side, sung
a psalm and returned God thanks for bringing them out of
their persecutions, . . .
