London July 6. Letters from Paris of the 12th inst. N.S.
advise, that the King of Sardinia having return'd from Turin
to the army some few hours after the battle, his Majesty put
himself the next morning at the head of the troops of the
Allies, and pursued the enemy over the Rivers Parma. . . as
far as Secchia. . . a detachment of French troops at the
same time marched to Guastalla, and found it guarded by a
body of 1400 Germans; but these, after a short resistance
were made prisoners of war. . . Te Deum was to be sung on
Monday last at Paris on the occasion of their success in
this engagement.
