On the 30th of December last, Red-shoes Chief of the Choctaw
Nation, with the Chiefs of 16 towns and other warriors and
people of that nation, to the number of 80, with the long
Captain Chief, and five others of the Chickesaw Nation, came
to Charlestown, being first met by the troop, who conducted
them into the town, where they were met and received in the
middle of Broad-street, by Lieutenant Colonel Braithwaite,
Major Pinckney and the other officers of Charlestown
Regiment, with their colours, drums, musick and serjeants; .
