Kirby Loxsdale, Dec. 2.  On Friday last a party of the rebel
horse from Carlisle came to Penrith, demanded quarters . . .
[3 lines]  Thereupon the people of the town sent out scouts
to Penrith Fell to discover the rebels, but no more
appearing, the fire bell was rung, which alarmed and brought
together great numbers from all parts . . .
