An Account of what happened at the Congrees, the Place
appointed by the Governor for an Interview with the Catawba
Indians.
His Excellency arrived at the Congrees (140 miles distant
from hence) on the 27th day of April last, . . . [10 lines]
April 28th A place being erected for the Governor to sit
under, and the Union flag hoisted, our men were drawn out in
two lines, thro' which the Indians marched, when they were
received with drums beating and colours flying, and saluted
with some small pieces of cannon. . .
