London, October 11. A new entertainment, called The Cunning
Man, written and composed originally by the celebrated
Rosseau, under the title of the Devin de Village, is in
rehearsal at the Theatre-Royal in Drury-Lane. There is
likewise a farce of two acts, called The Narrow Escape,
which will be performed at the same theatre, as soon as Mr.
King (who has a principal part in it) is able to appear upon
the stage.
A new comedy, of five acts, called The School for Guardians,
is in rehearsal at the Theatre-Royal in Covent Garden.
