London, October 14. Harlestone, October 7. Last Saturday
morning a man of this town was found hanging in his chamber.
His banns were published on the Sunday before to a woman,
with whom he had lived a week. The reason of his committing
this rash action is supposed to be owing to some words
between them on the Friday, when she told him she would not
have him: when he went up stairs to bed he was heard to
sing, "that his spirit should haunt her when he was dead."
The coroner's inquest sat on the body, and brought in their
verdict, Felo dese, and on Sunday he was buried in the
highway. He was 72 years of age, and the woman about 60!
