Salisbury, April 23. There were great rejoicings on
Wednesday last, on account of the releasment of Mr. Wilkes,
and at the village of Wishford, near this city, several
hogsheads of cyder and strong beer were given away, the
bells rang, and other demonstrations of joy were exhibited.
They write from Castle-Cary in Somersetshire, that on the
day of Mr. Wilkes's enlargement, the morning was ushered in
with ringing of bells; a flag of liberty was displayed on
the tower, and many hogsheads of strong-beer and cyder given
away to the populace. . . .
