To all lovers of psalmody. Samuel Chanler, begs leave to
inform his friends and the public in general, that he
teaches church music, in the same room where Mr. Havens
keeps school, in Bedon's -Alley; and as he intends to give
due attendance, expects to find encouragement in so laudable
a design, (for certainly mothing is more commendable than in
a decent harmonious manner to praise God).--He will also
wait on ladies and gentlemen either at their own houes or
boarding-schools, twice a week, teaching all the grounds of
psalmody in the newest method hitherto taught, leaving no
part untouched, relating either to tune, time, or concord;
and finding each scholar a note book. His terms will be
made known at entry.
