Brought to Camden Goal. . . Dec. 20th, 1774. A Negro
fellow, who says his name is John, Virginia born; and his
master's name was William Wilson, dancing-master, living in
Williamsburg, in Virginia; he says his master and mistress
are both dead: He has been run away these two years, and
passed for a free Negro; he is 5 feet 5 and 1/4th high; he
has a scar on the left breast, and has on an old snuff-
coloured coat and jacket, leather breeches, shoes,
stockings, and a felt hat.
