London. . . February 20. . . We hear, by private letters
from Dublin, that the inhabitants there, to the number of
not less than ten thousand, upon hearing the octennial bill
was arrived, waited upon his excellency the Lord Lieutenant,
to return him thanks for his great care and attention to the
interest of Ireland.
And we also hear by other letters from Dublin, that the
next day . . . [4 lines, demonstrations of joy, ] with
ringing of bells, bonfires, &c.
