following stave was sung before the sermon at a certain
church at the west end of the town.
Psm. cxix.v.81, 82, New Version
  My soul with long expectance faints
  To see thy saving grace:
  Yet still on thy unerring word
  My confidence I place.

  Speak, O ye judges of the earth, 
  If just your sentence be, 
  Or must not innocence appeal
