Boston. . . May 23. . . [8 lines, report of the arrival of
the new military Governor, General Gage, in Boston] At 11
o'clock his Excellency left the Castle . . . as he landed,
under the discharge of cannon from the Admiral's ship, and
the North and South Batteries; and, preceded by the Company
of Cadets, with their Band of Music, escorted him up the
wharf and through King-Street, where the different corps
were drawn up, and his Excellency received the standing
salutes of the respective officers as he passed them. . .
