On Thursday the 6th instant, was held the anniversary
meeting of "The Society for the Relief of the Widows and
Orphans of the Clergy of the Church of England, " when a
sermon, suitable to the occasion, was preached in St.
Philip's Church, by the Rev. Robert Smith, and an anthem,
set to music by Mr. Peter Valton, sung and played to
universal satisfaction. After service, a handsome
collection was made for the charity, and the following
officers were elected for the year ensuing. . .
