. . . [we hear] that Canada hath as yet signalized itself
for nothing but the baptism of a bell of 2500 lb. weight. .
. [2 lines] What they promised and engaged on behalf of the
said bell has not yet transpired, but shall impart it to the
public as soon as it comes to hand, as we do not doubt but
that all America is greatly interested in it: --At Boston
they do not baptise bells, but it appears from their bills
of mortality, that during the last year they baptized
infants, 521; burials, 592.
