To the Public. Mr. Thompson begs leave to inform his
friends in particular, and the public in general, but the
ladies and gentlemen in a more especial manner, that, on the
first of October next, his Long Room, at the City Tavern,
will then be elegantly fitted out for their reception, in
the view of accommodating dancing assemblies, societies and
clubs, to whom every attention will be given. Through this
communication, his most grateful thanks are presented to his
friends, and the public at large, for their past
countenance, encouragement, patronage, and favours. City
