[At end of 4-column "Dissertation of the Treatment of the
Negro Race," the following:
The Negroes have all the notion, that, after death, they
shall return happy to their own country. To this Shenstone
alludes in his 20th Elegy:
  Yet shores there are, blest shores for us remain,
  And favour'd isles, with golden fruitage crown'd;
  Where tufted flow'rets paint the verdant plain,
  Where ev'ry breeze shall med'cine every wound.
