Philadelphia, Dec. 22. Extract of a letter dated Fort Pitt,
Nov 4. I am glad of this opportunity to give you an account
of the taking of the three Moravian Indian congregations. .

it was impossible for them to move at that time, and leave
their corn behind, for they and their children would perish
with hunger in the wilderness. The Wiondats immediately
began to kill their hogs and cattle, and destroyed every
thing in their way. All night they danced the war dance and
