Run away from the subscriber some time last September, a
Negro fellow named Charles, about 5 feet 7 or 8 inches high,
37 or 38 years old, well set, had on when he went away, a
yellow jacket, greyish great coat, and sail duck trousers;
he has remarkable short teeth which he keeps very dirty, a
scar on his forehead, and is very fond of playing on the
banger. Whoever takes up the said Negro and delivers him to
the subscriber living in Nansemond county, near Suffolk,
shall have fifty dollars reward, if more than 25 miles,
seventy five dollars. [signed] John Giles
