Private letters from Paris acquaint us, that a young
actress, who was well receiv'd at court, happen'd, not long
ago, to be in the Queen's dressing room; where her Majesty
had left a work bag on the toilet, with her knotting in it;
which the actress was inadvertant enough to open, and to
begin to knot; at which, being surpriz'd by the Queen, her
Majesty order'd the bag, and whatever was in it, to be given
her, with an admonition not to come there again.
