Tuesday the 14th of May last, a Negroe man, named Dick; he
is a very likely fellow, about 24 years of age, speaks good
English, plays on the violin, will endeavour to pass for a
seaman, and freeman, being very cunning and artful; had on
when he went away, an half-worn grey suit, a brown wig, a
pair of large trousers, with shoes and stockings, and is
supposed to have crossed the bay to the eastern shore.
whoever apprehends the secures him, so that I may have him
again, shall have two pistoles reward, besides what the law
allows. [signed] Charles Smith.
