An account of a jubilee-wedding in Norway. In the year
1733, when his late Majesty Christian VI and his royal
consort Sophia Magdalena visited their Norwegian dominion
they took up their residence in the house of lieutenant
colonel Colbiornson, in Frederickshald, who was desirous of
diverting his guests with what they call a jubilee wedding.
This was performed in the garden, under tents pitched for
that purpose. . . [1 paragraph]
These eight married people made themselves extremely merry
at this jubilee-wedding; and the women, according to the
custom of the country, danced with green wreathes on their
heads, which brides always wear on their wedding day. They
had each a genteel present given them to carry home.
