Frankfort, May 8. It has been published here, by sound of
trumpet, that the Count de Pergen, minister plenipotentiary
from the Emperour to the Circles of the upper and lower
Rhine, will receive, on the 14th of this month, the oath of
fidelity which this city takes to his Imperial Majesty; and
all women, artificers, and Jews, are forbid to appear at the
place where this solemnity is to be performed; the latter
are even ordered not to stir out of their quarter on that
day.
