These few verses are humbly inscribed to *** *** ***, and
all other proud persons, rich or poor, who are full of their
own importance, by their very sincere and hearty despiser,
the author.
An ass, with ears erect, and solemn pace, 
Surveys around him with a grave grimace;
"See that green field (he cries) that rising hill, 
And limpid streams, they are all at my will.
