London. . . June 7. The ball at St. James's, on Monday
night, was very brilliant; his majesty entered the ball room
at nine o'clock. Minuets were danced until past eleven,
when his majesty withdrew; country dances then commenced,
which continued until near one o'clock, when all the
nobility retired. The ball was opened by the Duke of
Gloucester and Dutchess of Grafton; the Duke of Cumberland
danced with Lady Betty, sister to Duke Hamilton.
