My lady, having soon discovered that her husband was not so
young as she could wish, began to pay a particular attention
to the captain. Never easy without his company, she would
frequently desire him to wait upon her to the play, to the
opera, to Ranelagh, or some other place of publick resort,
and there discovered much more pleasure in conversing with
him than in listening to the entertainment of the evening. .
