London, January 20. The Court at St. James's on Monday, it
being celebrated as her Majesty's birthday, was very
numerous and brilliant. All the foreign ministers were
present, and the nobility in general appeared in dresses of
the manufacture of this Kingdom. Their Majesties came into
the Ball Room before nine o'clock, and the ball began very
soon after with a minuet by the Duke of Devonshire and
Dutchess of Marlborough. Many minuets were danced, and only
two country dances, in the second their Majesties and
attendance retired, which put an end to the ball at eleven
o'clock. . .
