London, February 18. Last night Mr. Foote's long expected
Puppet Show was performed, for the first time; it contains a
number of satirical strokes, and concludes in the following
manner. A constable enters to take up the puppets and carry
them to Justice Girkin, an oilman in the Strand, who issued
his warrant for their apprehension as vagrants, together
with Foote. A most witty laughable examination scene ensues
at the Justice's house, where the puppets are brought, . . .
