London, March 3. Of late years, there hardly ever was a
time so barren of news as the present. In the middle of the
winter season, when politicks are generally alive, and the
conversation of the town used to be so taken up with
different subjects, and it was hardly possible to say which
most deserved or engaged the attention, we find that a
single duel is dwelt with for six weeks, a cussing bout has
been a double nine days wonder, and a puppet show and two
wooden tragedies are all that now offer themselves as food
for the loquacious.
