Paris, December 3.  The Duke of Gloucester has been here
some days. . . Having walked on Monday last, without any of
his retinue, accompanied by a French gentleman, to request
of the French Comedians the representation of two pieces of
his choice for the next day, he saw with what eagerness his
desires were complied with, notwithstanding the measures
taken for playing two other pieces which had been announced
to the publick, and fixed up. . .
