From the Daily Gazetteer, Aug 15. Yesterday arrived a mail
from Flanders.
Letters of July 27. O.S. from Vienna say, that Te Deum has
been sung in the Metropolitan Church (present Their Imperial
Majesties and the three arch-dutchesses) for the taking of
Niffa in Servia; and that at the same time there were 3
discharges of the canon from the ramparts, and as many from
the small arms: . . . [7 lines, fighting in Bosnia] and
that when the Germans made their approaches to Banialucka,
the governor was so impudent, that he would not let the
officer enter, who was sent with the trumpeter to demand him
to surrender; but upon the very first signal he sounded with
his trumpet, he ordered a cannon to be discharged, by which
the officer had a horse kill'd under him, and the
trumpeter's cockade was shot off his hat.
