Bonne, June 6. Letters from the Hague, of the 31st of May
O.S. say. Count Podewils received this morning a courier
from the King of Prussia his master, with the news, that his
Prussian Majesty having attacked, on the 24th instant the
combined army of Austrians and Saxons near Friedberg, gained
a complete victory over them: That the allies left on the
field of battle between 3 and 4000 men, killed and wounded;
that the Prussians took above 5000 prisoners, among whom are
5 or 6 generals, and 30 officers of distinction; that they
took 40 cannon, 10 standards, 66 colours, 8 pair of kettle
drums; that the loss of the Prussians, killed and wounded,
amounts to 1200 men; . . .
