London, Dec. 2. We are informed, that on Friday last, at a
meeting of the tradesmen of his Royal Highness the Duke of
Gloucester, to celebrate his birthday, at the King's Arms
tavern, in Bond street, Mr. Showell, whip maker, of Oxford
street, and Mr. Pinchbeck, of Cockspur Street, stewards, the
following stanza was added to the song of God Save the King:
May each unkind report,
Which keeps our Duke from court,
Quickly be o'er;
And the whole family
Live from all discord free,
In love and harmony,
Till time's no more.
