On Monday last, the delegates from the several counties, &c.
of this colony, met in convention in Richmond; when it was
unanimously resolved, . . . to proceed . . . to raise an
army of 3000 men, exclusive of officers, and three troops of
horse, for the defence of the lower parts of the country; .

who intend enlisting in their country's service, to be in
readiness to repair to the Drum Head, (which will quickly
sound through the different counties) where they will be
