At a meeting of the volunteer company of the county of
Caroline, on Tuesday the 29th of August, 1775.
Resolved unanimously. that the grateful thanks of this
company be given to Edmund Pendleton, Esq; for his very
genteel present of a Stand of Colours, a Drum, and two
Fifes; and that we consider this to be one, among many
other, of his noble endeavours to support the cause of
liberty and freedom. By order of the Company.
