ashamed publicly to own, and he disdains to deceive any, by
having it unknown, that he is not a clergyman of the
established religion in south-Britain, but of the
denomination equally established by law in North-Britain; .

dangling butterflies, fiddlers and dancing masters acquire
genteel fortunes, we frequently see the truly useful and
respectable, but often unrespected and despised pedagogue,
by all his industry and abilities natural and acquired,
reaping no more than a bare subsistence. . .
