Hampton, July 5, 1771. Run away from the subscriber last
August, a very stout well made mulatto man named Samuel
Berry, by trade a shoemaker; it is needless to mention his
cloathing, as he has been out so long, and as he plays on
the fiddle, he has many opportunities of changing his dress.
I understand he is about Petersburg, committing robberies
daily. Whoever secures the said slave, so that I may get
him again, shall be fully rewarded for their trouble, by
[signed] Judith Harbert.
