Yesterday se'nnight, at 7 o'clock in the morning, came on
here, before Mr. Justice Gould and a special jury, the
important and much talked of trial between the free
burgesses and the magistracy of Newcastle [England,
concerning rights of common on the town moor, 1 column] . .
. This agreement gave universal satisfaction to the
burgesses, who testified their joy by ringing of bells,
firing of guns, illuminations at night, &c. &c. large
parties paraded the town the whole day with music, and
decked with blue ribbands. . .
