ON THE DEATH OF MRS. RIND.
What more affecting cause can friendship urge,
To testify her grief in mournful dirge,
Than Clementina's death? Who can refrain
The impulse of an agonizing pain?
. . . [1 1/2 columns more, including the lines:
The muse shou'd wear a melancholy black,
. . . [3 lines]
And strike the tuneful [harp] strings with trembling hand.
