Paris, Oct. 18. The Sieur Olivier, Director of the Royal
manufactory of Delft ware settled at Montpelier for a
hundred years, has been to wait on the King at Fontainebleau
with some curious pieces of workmanship, viz . . . He has
bought also a present for the Dauphin and Duke of Anjou, of
a coach and Berlin, each drawn by eight horses, with proper
furniture, a coach-man, postilion, and two footmen behind,
&c. two chairs with the chairmen, a windmill, a company of
horse, another of foot, with drums, trumpets, &c. a groom
dressing a horse and a courtier bringing a letter to his
Majesty, with several other curious toys for mesdames of
France . . .
