Citation | WR.735.016 28 Apr 1735:12 (187) Paris, Feb. 19. It is assured, that the Pope has granted, at the solicitation of the Duke de St. Aignan, a brief which takes off all ecclesiastical censures which the actors of France lie under, as well those of the opera as comedy, and permits them the usage of the sacraments, and to the Italian comedians in like manner. We learn from Mayence of the 13th, that the Imperialists work with great diligence to make lines from that town of Old Brisac. |
