About the artists
Stockport-born Heather Ferrier is a virtuoso accordion player, composer, and clog dancer, showcasing the best of folk in the North West. A graduate of the prestigious English Folk Expo one-year Artist Mentoring Pathway, Heather has enjoyed an extensive solo career, as well as performing as part of the Heather Ferrier Trio.
“An engaging talker, magnetic performer, and prolific presence.” – NARC Magazine
Ceitidh (pronounced ‘Katie’) Mac effortlessly combines folk and lo-fi alternative music, creating an achingly cool yet still traditional sound. A regular on the UK touring circuit, Ceitidh has supported Dublin folk legends Lankum, as well as Laura Misch, Rachael Dadd, and Alabaster dePlume.
“Stunning lyrics and a genuine undertone gave me goose-bumps as Mac delicately created beautiful soundscapes through the cello.” – NARC Magazine
The project of Newcastle-based artist Jayne Dent, Me Lost Me delights in experimenting with songwriting, taking influence from folk, art pop, and ambient. Her latest album, RPG, presents the idea of songwriting as a role-playing game, celebrating people, experiences, and storytelling.
“With her unique approach to folk music, Jayne Dent bridges the ancient and the futuristic, leading us into a realm where the archaic narrations of folktales meet the endless potentials of the digital age.” – Clot
