Described by The Guardian as “the finest instrumental duo on the traditional scene”, Spiers & Boden first rocketed onto the music scene in 2001, before quickly getting a clutch of BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards under their belts. Together, they went on to form and front the extraordinarily successful, Universal Records-signed folk big band Bellowhead, a group which has sold out the Royal Albert Hall several times, provided the Sunday theme tune for Radio 4’s “The Archers” and was recently featured in BBC 1’s “Beyond Paradise.”

The duo reformed in 2021 after a seven-year hiatus, arriving with a brand new album, Fallow Ground, which went on to reach number 3 in September ‘21’s Official Folk Albums Chart and was a Mojo magazine top 10 folk album of 2021.

About the Gig

This event will be held live on Zoom from the fascinating Pitt Rivers Museum in historic Oxford, with a remote sound engineer for high-quality sound. Our gigs allow interaction between artists and audiences, so the artist can hear you applaud and you can even have the chance to ask them any burning questions.

Tickets are £18, with the option to pay a bit less (£12) or a bit more (£30) depending on what is affordable for you. You only need one ticket per household.
