A Dance in Honor of the 250th Birthday of Jane Austen

This dance is a special event sponsored by the Country Dance Society-Boston Centre. We will be dancing to live music and callers. The dances called will be from the time period of Jane Austen’s writings. We will also give additional instruction for those who are interested in learning some of the special stepping styles used at that time. Festive dress is welcome but no special clothing style is expected. The early part of the event will be more geared to those who are new to English Country Dancing, with slightly more complicated dances in the second half.
