Collective Joy Square Dance!

The Art Shanty Project in partnership with Ann Carter Calling is hosting this unique opportunity to dance in community on a frozen lake in Minneapolis! Everyone is invited to experience the joy (and warmth!) of community connection via square dancing. Professional caller Ann Carter & friends will lead folks in some fun & simple dances to live music, right there in the Art Shanty Village. No experience necessary! Come swing a partner and do-si-do a neighbor – helping spread collective joy all across the lake & beyond!

In this unprecedented time in our city, we need to gather in unprecendented ways. Come join us! Accessibility note: some activities require balance and physical flexibility. Conditions may be slick. Adaptations welcome!
