Ease & Elegance

Country Dancers of Westchester will again present Ease & Elegance, their renowned style workshop, begun decades ago by Fried de Metz Herman. Fried’s student Paul Ross will offer A Roll in the Hey on January 19, 2025, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at Church in the Highlands, White Plains, NY. We’ll start with an in-depth look at various types of heys, both familiar and less common, and then frolic in the hey in the second half with music provided by Calliope (Robin Russell, piano; Norma Castle, flute and percussion; and Sue Polansky, clarinet). Familiarity with basic English country dance figures is assumed. No pre-registration required.
