Lucy & Hazel (with introduction by Emily Portman)

We’re excited to present an evening of powerful live music with Lucy & Hazel, a duo specialising in folk laced with humour, heartache, and harmony.
The event will be introduced by BBC Folk Award-winning singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, Emily Portman.
What to expect: No themes are off the table in this lively and dynamic evening of folk – anticipate tales of land and climate justice combined with stories of apocalypse power.
Expect lyrics that make you stop and think, and music that gives you goosebumps.
About the artists
Lucy Huzzard and Hazel Thompson are best-known as Lucy & Hazel, a queer folk duo hailing from Sheffield.
Taking influence from English and European folk music, as well as a dash of punk and vaudeville, Lucy & Hazel tell passionate tales of feminism, justice, and platonic love.
Poignant and witty, Lucy & Hazel will make you laugh and cry. Absolutely brilliant! – Tamsin Elliott
About the gig
This event will be held live on Zoom, with a remote sound engineer for high-quality sound. Our gigs allow interaction between artists and audiences, so the artist can hear you applaud and you can even have the chance to ask them any burning questions.
Tickets are £18, with the option to pay a bit less (£12) or a bit more (£30) depending on what is affordable for you. You only need one ticket per household.
