We’re delighted to welcome back the wonderful Karine Polwart, for what will be a beautiful and intimate performance!

Join Karine live from Pathhead Community Club in her small, cosy Midlothian home village – and expect a few musical surprises from some of the neighbours!

What to expect: The thing we love most about Karine is that she is sharp and soft at the same time. This performance will be full of rich and intricate storytelling, coupled with Karine’s tender vocals.

Enjoy an eclectic mix of classic Celtic folk, re-imaginings of contemporary tunes, as well as breathtaking guest performances from the music-loving residents of Pathhead!

About the artist

Karine Polwart is a Scottish singer-songwriter, well-known and loved for being a powerful solo performer, as well as playing in groups including Malinky, Battlefield Band, and The Burns Unit.

Karine sings about a variety of tales and topics, with no subject being off limits. Her most recent show, Windblown, celebrated the life of the 200-year-old Sabal palm at Edinburgh’s Royal Botanic Garden.

As well as being an award-winning folk singer, Karine is the patron of Live to your Living Room. In her own words: “It’s great to feel part of something bigger than yourself.”

About the gig

This event will be held live on Zoom, with a remote sound engineer for high-quality sound. Our gigs allow interaction between artists and audiences, so the artist can hear you applaud and you can even have the chance to ask them any burning questions.

Tickets are £18, with the option to pay a bit less (£12) or a bit more (£30) depending on what is affordable for you. You only need one ticket per household.
