This enchanting gig will show you the true meaning of Christmas and provide a ‘gurt’ dollop of festive, West Country fun!

About the artists

Miranda Sykes is an English folk singer and instrumentalist known for her solo work as well as her work with folk luminaries including Show of Hands, Pressgang, Firebrand, and The Phil Beer Band.

Miranda released her latest solo album, Out Of The Woods in 2024, a collection of songs reflecting on the pandemic, illness, and feelings of isolation.

“Miranda’s rich, spine-tingling vocals and strident yet sensitive double bass playing are much in demand.” – Folk and Honey

As well as touring with Miranda Sykes, this BBC Radio Folk Award nominee has worked with John McCusker, The Devil’s Interval, and Kate Rusby, collaborated with Mawkin under the name Mawkin:Causley, and even appeared on Countryfile.

“The finest singer of his generation.” – Mojo Magazine
