A fourth Saturday contra dance in Southeastern Connecticut!
- When: Dance 7:30-10:30 pm [“learn the ropes” @ 7:15 pm]
- What: Contra dancing is a public and a community shindig! It is so wicked fun, dancing to the live fiddle tunes of Ireland, Scotland, England, France, Appalachia & America!
- All welcome, No need to bring a partner because we often switch partners after every dance, and no need to know how!
- Why: In order to have a wicked good time and eat homemade pie!
- Caller: Rich Sbardella!
- Live Music by: Wry Bred, who are Mickey Koth, Julie Sorcek & Robert Messore!
- Admission: $10 adults, $7 students. & Donations gratefully accepted!
- Homemade Pie Slices! We offer a medley of homemade pie slices! (One special this month is yellow raspberry pie slices!) These delicious pie slices are offered at the break for $3 a slice to help support the band and caller.
- Roles: Are traditional: Ladies & Gents but are just roles and you are welcome and encouraged to choose whichever role that works for you and some do, so no worries!
- Clothing & Footwear: Just bring clean shoes to dance in to preserve the floor (no high heels please). Dress is comfortable and as you like.
- Parking: Plenty of free parking in the large parking area in front of the building!
- We are a smoke & alcohol-free event!
